YARRAM
Last week of April, we headed down to Yarram with the Ezy Going Caravan friends.
Yarram, is 200klm south east of Melbourne, in a region known as Gippsland. The population is approx 2500, and is situated between the coast and the foothills of the Great Divide. Nearby towns are Foster, Welshpool and Alberton. It is close to Port Albert, which is one of Victoria’s first trade ports.
It is a rich dairy country and also well known for its timber industry.
It is also close to Ninety Mile Beach & Tara Bungle National Park.

Lovely scenic drives into the Strzelecki Ranges, along the Tarra Valley Road.
The Strzelecki Ranges generally run east-west and extend for roughly 100 km. They are composed of deeply dissected sandstone and mudstone, rising from 300 to 500 metres, with the highest point at Mount Tassie being 740 metres.
Great nights around the fire.
